Cirque du Soleil is putting the finishing touches on Michael Jackson ONE, the brand new show inspired by Jackson’s artistic talents and creative genius. The state-of-the-art visual and audio experience will feature his hit songs and revolutionary dance moves with a Cirque du Soleil twist. Preview performances are scheduled to begin Thursday, May 23 with the grand opening set for Saturday, June 29.
The name Michael Jackson ONE came from Jackson’s belief that all people are unique and equal. His message of unity, harmony and hope will be represented throughout the show. Michael Jackson ONE also presents a paradox as Jackson was a multi-faceted artist who was determined to fuse together various musical styles and art forms. It’s a fitting title for a unifying journey into the world of The King of Pop – the genius, the visionary, the one.
* World-famous dance crew Jabbawockeez is dancing its way into Luxor with “PRiSM,” set to debut Saturday, May 18. “PRiSM,” a celebration of imagination, will be an eclectic mix of awe-inspiring choreography, captivating storylines and stunning special effects, forming a production that challenges audiences to embrace the unexpected.
Jabbawockeez became the first dance crew to headline a show on The Strip in 2010 with the wildly successful “MÜS.I.C.,” which premiered at MGM Grand and later moved to Monte Carlo. The crew is now bringing an original concept to Luxor with a production featuring a state-of-the-art set, cutting-edge technology, the latest music and inventive costumes.
One year in the making, the 830-seat JABBA Theatre features amphitheater-style seating, creating an intimate feel for each guest. The theatre also features top-of-the-line acoustics to complement the musical artistry of the show. Blending chart-topping hits and original tracks by JBWKZ Records artist The Bangerz, “PRiSM” will enchant audiences with electrifying energy and beats that transcend generational boundaries, leaving guests of all ages dancing in their seats.
